Joshua Eli Robert Wells, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Wells Geotech, LLC, is a professional engineer with over nine years of experience in geotechnical, special inspections and construction material testing services. Mr. Wells obtained his undergraduate degree in civil engineering at Western Kentucky University and then earned his masters in geotechnical engineering at the University of Kentucky. Mr. Wells has managed many different projects over the years including commercial, residential, educational and industrial. While office work has been very beneficial to the development of his career, he has always loved the field work and had the drive to start his own drilling company. Today this is Wells Geotech.

Jim Wells is co-founder and principal owner of Wells Geotech. Past experience includes serving as Duke Energy’s Vice President, New Nuclear Generation with responsibility for the siting, licensing, and development of the Company’s new nuclear generation fleet. He previously served as Duke Energy’s VP EHS Programs and Environmental Sciences where he led the company’s corporate environmental, health and safety teams. Prior to his executive leadership roles, Jim practiced environmental law providing legal representation to industrial and commercial clients, and later served as in-house environmental counsel for the General Electric Company and Duke Energy. Jim is a graduate of the Navy Nuclear Power Program and served as a reactor operator in the U.S. Navy’s nuclear submarine service.
